Space-time finite element methods

A talk in the BI.discrete Workshop series by
Olaf Steinbach from TU Graz

Abstract: In this talk we will review some results on space-time finite element methods. For parabolic evolution equations we will consider variational formulations in both Bochner and anisotropic Sobolev spaces. For the latter we introduce a modified Hilbert transformation which also will be useful for hyperbolic problems.
