Adaptive finite element discretization of the stochastic total variation flow

A talk in the Nonlocal Equations: Analysis and Numerics series by
L’ubomír Baňas from Bielefeld

Abstract: The total variation (TV) minimization is a prototype model for image denoising. We consider a stochastically perturbed gradient flow of the total variation functional. We propose a fully discrete finite element approximation of the problem which employs an adaptive algorithm for the choice of space and time discretization parameters. We also discuss extensions of our approach to non-local models.
