Near soliton evolution for Schroedinger Maps

Abstract:

We investigate the behavior of 2-equivariant Schroedinger Maps near the 2-equivariant family of solitons/harmonic maps. We rule out finite time blow-up and establish the possibility of infinite time blow-up. This is join work with Mohandas Pillai and Daniel Tataru.
