Fractional Orlicz-Sobolev spaces: equivalent norms and embeddings

Embeddings of fractional Orlicz-Sobolev spaces into Orlicz
spaces, or into fractional Orlicz-Sobolev spaces with different
smoothness will be presented. The proof of the latter embeddings makes
use of new results, of independent interest, about the equivalence of
Gagliardo-Slobodeckij type norms in the Orlicz-Sobolev fractional spaces
to norms defined via Littlewood-Paley decompositions, via oscillations,
or via Besov type difference quotients.
