Markov random fields on configuration spaces and applications to continuum particle systems

A talk in the Bielefeld Stochastic Afternoon series by
Tetyana Pasurek

Abstract: We give a review of different approaches to the study of equilibrium states of infinite particle systems in the continuum. Besides cluster expansions and integral equations for correlation functions traditionally used in mathematical physics, we develop analytical methods based on stability properties of interactions and appropriate Lyaynov-type estimates. In particular, we address the problem of existence and uniqueness of Gibbs point fields on configuration spaces.
