We introduce a probabilistic numerical approach for the reconstruction of the unknown boundary data of the steady state heat equation in a bounded domain in R^d, having discrete measurements inside the domain and on a part of the boundary. We shall provide some corresponding spectral and probabilistic error estimates. Numerical experiments are also included. This is based on a joint work with A. Grecu and L. Marin.
