In this talk I will present the IID limit procedure, which was obtained in our earlier works, notably on energy-supercritical NLS. This method is based on a combination of Bourgain's Gibbs measure theory for Hamiltonian PDEs and the Kuksin's inviscid limit. While these two approaches come across serious difficulties when applied to higher nonlinearities, we will show how the IID limit can produce globally posed solutions in a probabilistic sense, in energy supercritical contexts.
