Continuous and compact fractional Orlicz-Sobolev embeddings on domains

A talk in the Nonlocal Equations: Analysis and Numerics series by
Lubos Pick from Prague

Abstract: Necessary and sufficient conditions will be offered for compact embeddings of fractional Orlicz-Sobolev spaces into Orlicz spaces, or into rearrangement-invariant spaces, on bounded Lipschitz domains. The optimal Orlicz target space and the optimal rearrangement-invariant target space for merely continuous embeddings, also on domains, will be exhibited. Sharp embedding and compact embeddings of fractional Orlicz-Sobolev spaces into spaces of uniformly continuous functions governed by moduli of continuity will be characterized. This is a joint work with Angela Alberico, Andrea Cianchi and Lenka Slavikova.
