Ergodicity of non-Markovian systems in infinite dimensions

A talk in the SPDEvent series by
Dáire O'Kane from University of Bath

Abstract: In this talk we present ongoing work on the study of ergodicity for non-Markovian systems in infinite dimensions. A motivation for this is to study existence and uniqueness of invariant measures for the 2-D Stochastic Navier-Stokes equation with degenerate fractional noise. We adopt the Stochastic dynamical systems approach given in Hairer and Ohashi for systems driven by fractional Brownian motion and aim to apply the ideas of Asymptotic Coupling from Hairer, Mattingly and Scheutzow in this framework.
Based on ongoing work with Avi Mayorcas (University of Bath).
