Weak traces for functions of bounded A-variation

Functions of bounded A-variation provide a unifying framework for problems from continuum or fluid mechanics. Whereas the C-elliptic situation is well-understood, we sometimes only have control over real elliptic or even non-elliptic differential operators. In this talk, we give an update on how such problems can be handled as well from the perspective of traces. Joint work with Gui-Qiang G. Chen (Oxford), Monica Torres (Purdue), Kuan-Ting Yeh (Purdue) and Paul Stephan (Konstanz).
