On the construction of branching particle systems in McKean–Vlasov media

A large-size population of healthy particles move, interact, and crowd each other, their hydrodynamic limit being described by a McKean-Vlasov SDE. A tiny finite set of sick particles that follow the same movement of the healthy particles, branch (silently infect other particles) according to a branching mechanism that may depend on time, on the position of the sick particle, and on the distribution of the entire population. The role of this presentation is to describe a potential theoretic approach for realizing the movement of the sick particles in the hydrodynamic limit as a strong Markov (discrete measure valued) branching process in continuous-time.
