Energy solutions for the stochastic Burgers equation: Uniqueness and applications (Part IV)
A talk in the Seminar Stochastic Partial Differential Equations series by
Nicolas Perkowski from HU Berlin
Abstract: |
Energy solutions provide a probabilistic notion of solution to the stationary conservative stochastic Burgers equation, one of the equivalent formulations of the famous KPZ equation. I will introduce energy solutions and show that they admit an Ito formula and that this can be used to prove their uniqueness through the so called Cole-Hopf transform. In the second part of the lecture I will show that energy solutions provide a powerful tool for proving the convergence of interacting particle systems to Burgers equation. |
