The Geometric KPZ

A talk in the Bielefeld Stochastic Afternoon series by
Yvain Bruned from Imperial College London

Abstract: The Geometric KPZ gives a natural evolution on the space of loops with values in a Riemannian Manifold. The equation is ill-posed and needs advanced techniques like the theory of regularity structures for its resolution. A magic cancellation occurs and no renormalisations appear at the level of the equation. We will explain how to get the dimension of the space of the solutions.
