Cauchy-Transform of Orthogonal Polynomials

A talk in the AG Zufallsmatrizen series by
Markus Ebke from Bielefeld University

Abstract: When using the orthogonal polynomial approach to random matrix theory, one may find that certain quantities are expressed as the Cauchy-transform of the polynomials. In my talk I will present a method to compute the large-N limit of these Cauchy-transforms and apply it to the elliptic Ginibre ensemble (Hermite-polynomials) and its chiral version (Laguerre-polynomials). In the latter case the Cauchy-transforms represent the bosonic QCD-partition function with chemical potential.
