Generalizations of Dickman's Law and their applications
A talk in the Oberseminar Geometric Analysis series by
Stanislav Molchanov from UNC Charlotte and HSE Moscow
Abstract: |
The Duckman's function and distribution are well-known in physical and applied probabilistic literature. They are practically unknown among "pure probabilists". My talk will contain the introduction to the subject and several extensions of the theory. The applications include the member theory ( the works of Dickman and de Bruijn), cell-growth models, limit theorems on solvable Lie groups, differential-functional equations etc. |
