Network

YWTS welcomes any early career researcher and student at Bielefeld University who identifies as female or non-binary and whose academic focus is on (theoretical) Mathematics, Physics, or Economics. Female and non-binary TRR 358 members from Paderborn are welcome as well. YWTS supports their academic career by:

• Building a Network where participants can exchange experiences, ask for help, and gain insights into different research projects.
• Organizing Meetings & Events like network lunches, soft skill workshops, scientific talks or panel discussions.
• Sharing equity news and events in a Blog.
• Offering an individual Financial Support program.

YWTS is supported by third party projects CRC 1283 „Taming Uncertainty“, TRR 358 „Integral Structures in Geometry and Representation Theory“ in Bielefeld and Paderborn, RTG 2865 „Coping with Uncertainty in Dynamic Economies“ as well as the Bielefeld Graduate School in Theoretical Sciences (BGTS). The Network Coordinators are Economics PhD Student Anna Hager and Physics Bachelor student Lea Fiege.
