Network

Young Women in Theoretical Sciences (YWTS) welcomes any early career researcher and student at Bielefeld University who identifies as female and whose academic focus is on (theoretical) Mathematics, Physics, or Economics. YWTS supports their academic career by:

• Building a Network where participants can exchange experiences, ask for help, and gain insights into different research projects.
• Organizing Meetings & Events like network lunches, soft skill workshops, scientific talks or panel discussions.
• Sharing equity news and events in a Blog and on instagram.
• Offering an individual Financial Support program.

YWTS is supported by third party projects CRC 1283 „Taming Uncertainty“, TRR 358 „Integral Structures in Geometry and Representation Theory“ in Bielefeld and Paderborn, IRTG 2865 „Coping with Uncertainty in Dynamic Economies“, CRC - TR 211 „Strong-interaction matter under extreme conditions“ as well as the Bielefeld Graduate School in Theoretical Sciences (BGTS).
